The challenges facing this nation are too great for vague or nuanced ambiguity.
Americans of all stripes must not shy away from thinking correctly and speaking clearly into the current political and racial crisis we are facing as a people. Americans must present to all political leaders a moral mandate that will hold them accountable, ensuring that their leadership reflects the values that uphold the dignity and well-being of all people in our multiracial democratic society. In this current moment we should be gravely concerned about the political alliances that have been formed around this year’s presidential election.
